Skintruth is a professional salon company who have a wide range of products for all types of skin. Their products are available from Sally’s Beauty and they have numerous ranges which are: Skincare, Manicure, Pedicure and Aromatherapy. Their products are all Paraben, Sulphate and mineral oil free which I think is amazing, I don’t like putting nasty ingredients on my face. I was recently contacted by them to try some of their products, I told them I get very dry and blemish prone skin so they kindly sent me 2 products from their nourishing skincare range.
The Nourishing Skincare range states:
“Expertly formulated to compliment and improve Normal to Dry skin types.
The Nourishing range gives dry, thirsty skin the additional moisture it needs by blending essential nutrients and extracts. Orchid’s ability to improve and retain moisture combined with Ginseng’s therapeutic anti-aging benefits creates the ultimate skin saviour. This range will leave dehydrated and moisture-seeking skin types feeling rejuvenated, smooth and supple.”
What it Claims:
“This intense cream mask restores skin’s moisture levels and calms dry patches, leaving skin radiant and smooth.”
The mask was the one I was most excited to try! I love a good face mask and on my journey of self care I’m trying to take a little bit of time out each week to have a good pamper. Normally I use face masks that help clear the skin so I was so excited to use one that was going to help moisturise my dry skin. I’ve really loved this from the first time I used it, it smells very luxurious which I enjoy, If I close my eyes it’s just like I’m in a spa being pampered and not in my bedroom! I either use a clean flat foundation brush or my fingers to slather a big layer all over my face, I would describe it as feeling like a very heavy moisturiser so it can feel quite thick on the skin and may be a little uncomfortable to some but I like it as I just remind myself it’s a mask and not a moisturiser. After 15 minutes or so I can see that my skin has soaked up 90% of the product, this doesn’t surprise me as I suffer with very dry skin, especially during these horrible winter months. I then use a damp flannel to wipe off any excess and it leaves me such nourished and moisturised skin, it’s a saviour! I normally use this before bed and my skin always feels extra soft in the morning when I wake up after using this. I’m honestly really loving using this with the cold weather and have been using it multiple times a week.
What is claims:
“Formulated with UV filter and natural skin conditioners to provide essential hydration and replenish dehydrated complexions.”
First of all the main thing I love about this is that it has pump, it makes applying it so easy and convenient – especially when I’m in a rush in the morning! Is there a word I can use other than nourishing because that’s exactly how it feels! They picked the right name for this range because it just feels so moisturising and soothing, it’s not thick at all and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. As with the face mask it has the same Orchid and Ginseng scent which smells very luxurious and professional. My skin always feels so soft, hydrated and plump after using this. The moisturiser has done a great job of eliminating my dry areas around my nose within a matter of days which just proves to me how hydrating it is. I honestly can’t fault this product, it even comes in a massive bottle which will last me a long time!
The Skintruth brand is available to buy through Sally’s Beauty and they have a huge range of products varying from dry to sensitive skin and even skincare kits that include all the products you could need for a good skincare routine. I’m really loving this brand and already have my eye on their manicure kit and their facial serum. One last point I wanted to say is that their Instagram is beautiful so I recommend you check their profile out!
