Huda Mauve Obsessions Valentines Pink Makeup look
Hey lovelies! If you follow me on Instagram or checked out my December Favourites post you’ll probably all know just how obsessed I have been with the Huda Mauve Obsessions eyeshadow palette. It’s the first Huda product I’ve owned and I’m 100% sure it won’t be the last! The quality and the colours are just so great I can’t put it down. The Mauve Obsessions palette is made up of 3 textured shades and 6 matte shades. So with this palette being warm pink tones and valentines coming up I thought it would be fun to create a pink makeup themed look for Valentines. I think the textured shades are perfect for date makeup whether it’s for day or night and just instantly glam up your look.
This is a very photo heavy post just to warn you as I don’t think it needs too much explanation. Also a side note, I did this not long after washing my hair so it may look a little greasy in some shots but I promise that’s just water haha.
The star of this look is obviously the Huda Mauve Obsessions palette but I’ve included all the products used below.
- Rimmel Stay Awake Foundation
- Benefit Erase Paste
- Collection Lasting perfection concealer
- NYX Wonderstick Contour Stick
- Rimmel sculpting palette – Blush and contour
- NYX highlighting strobe palette – lilac shade
- Huda Mauve obsessions eye palette
- Freedom eyebrow promade
- Soap and Glory Black pencil eyeliner
- Maybelline Lash sensational mascara
- Rimmel Liquid eyeliner (not pictured sorry I missed it out!)
- Eyelure Eyelashes – lashes 101
- NYX matte lip cream – Rome
I’m so sorry if you’ve noticed this already but one thing I didn’t realise until I was editing the photos is that one of my eyelashes is coming off on the corner! It’s because I did this look in a little bit of a rush as I wanted the daylight to take photos!
As a transition shade I used 1 in the Mauve Obsessions palette in the crease of my eyes using a fluffy brush. Then I used my finger for the textured shades as this helps pick up the product more and makes it easier to apply to the lid. I used 2 on the inner half and 3 on the outer half and blended them together. I finally then used 4 and 5 on the outer corners to make the look more intense and smokey. Then to complete the look I used the lilac shade in the NYX highlighting palette on the inner corners of my eyes and brow bone.
I hope you liked this look and it’s given you some inspiration! I really love using pink shades so you can see why I love this palette so much!
I’ve never posted any of my looks on my blog, they’re always on my Instagram, but playing with makeup is what I enjoy the most so I’d like to post more on here, is that something you’d like to see?
